Gitcoin Grants Round 20 (GG20) is open for donations from now until Tuesday, May 7. Web3ForGood isn’t participating in this round, but there are so many other incredible projects elligible for funding this round that we hope you will consider supporting! Not sure how? Everything you need to know to donate is HERE.
A reminder that, since Gitcoin Grants leverages a Quadratic Funding distribution method, the number of donations actually matters even more than the amount. Donating just a tiny amount to a project you care about will have serious impact, because the more people who donate (any amount), the more funding they are eligible to receive from the matching pool.
Here are the projects we’re supporting in GG20:
Change Code is building the tools for individuals and organizations to attest to and verify their impact and package that data into a meaningfully representative impact asset. (also in Token Engineering and Hypercerts rounds).
Funding the Commons originated as an event series aiming to cultivate a public goods community spanning across the spectrum, including Web2, Web3, research, philanthropy, government, and industry. (also in dApps & Apps round)
The Solar Foundation leverages new technologies like the blockchain to fund and accelerate off-grid solar solutions for underserved communities in emerging economies.
GoodDollar is a UBI protocol with a vision any person to access a digital, sustainable universal basic income. For GG20 (Climate Solutions), they are raising funds to further develop GoodCollective, a platform that supports climate impact initiatives through enabling direct digital payments to individuals who perform verified climate stewardship.
"Seeding - Cultural Sourced Ecosystem Stewardship" by the Grassroots Economics Foundation is an ambitious initiative that combines ancestral wisdom with modern technology to promote ecosystem stewardship and cultural revitalization through a protocol known as Commitment Pooling. This protocol is designed to fortify networks of commitment toward ecosystem management and the revival of indigenous mutual service practices globally.
The Breadchain Cooperative is a collective of decentralized cooperative projects that looks to advance a progressive vision for blockchain and its potential to transform society.
AtlantisDAO is building a range of tools for initiating, implementing, measuring, and reporting the impact of climate and social projects.
