30/This Week in Web3forGood
🌍 UBI for all, GR15 wrap up, worldwide crypto adoption numbers and so much more...
gm gm,
I hope that the week has been kind to all! The GR15 round ups had us all excited - few things excite us as much as public goods funding so it’s great to see the numbers from this round.
Speaking of things that excite us - universal basic income. It was one of the initial crypto use cases that truly spoke to us, and we are excited to share the story behind GoodDollar, a UBI protocol that has been on our radar for quite some time, as told by its Co-Founder, Anna Stone.
As we talked to Anna, there was one thing she said that really spoke to us - “I came to crypto for the potential. I came to crypto for the best of it”. That’s how we view Web3, it has so much potential - potential for good, if channeled in the right direction.

🌊 Universal Basic Income for all: A Conversation with Anna Stone, Co-Founder of GoodDollar
Ask Anna Stone, Co-Founder and Director of GoodDollar, about how she came to find herself building one of the world’s first universal basic income protocols back when blockchain was a blip on mainstream radar and the term Web3 hadn’t even been invented yet, and she doesn’t hesitate to jump right into philosophy.
“Money is so deeply personal yet, there is so little understanding about where it comes from, who controls it, and how it works,” she begins to explain. For Anna, this philosophy is at the core of everything she does, and her journey to blockchain. From building tech to tackle inequality to onboarding newcomers around the world onto blockchain technology, her passion and vision is clear: Web3 technology not only can, but must be, used to solve the biggest, built-in financial system challenges of our time. With GoodDollar, Anna and her team are showing the world how that can be done.
GoodDollar is a universal basic income protocol: it distributes free crypto every day to anyone who wants to sign up for it.
