📚 What We’re Thinking About
🏦 India’s Bitcoin crossroads: Will it add BTC to national reserves?
Bitcoin is entering its reserve era. The U.S. launched a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in 2025, holding nearly 200K BTC. Bhutan and El Salvador have done the same, signaling Bitcoin’s role as “digital gold.” India has the tech, energy, and digital infrastructure to lead, if it moves wisely (Cointelegraph). BJP leaders have proposed a pilot reserve, and policymakers are reviewing crypto’s role. With 530K BTC held by governments, Bitcoin is now a geopolitical asset.
🪙 Trump’s crypto push isn’t for the people
Trump’s crypto agenda talks financial freedom, but the benefits go to elites (Cointelegraph). His family-backed venture, World Liberty Financial, launched a token just as his administration rolled back oversight and disbanded crypto enforcement. Coins tied to political figures flood the market, turning crypto into a loyalty game. The unbanked deserve more than branding; they deserve access. Real crypto freedom starts with people, not power.
♀️ Blockchain could fix AI’s gender bias
AI is automating bias at scale, putting millions of women’s jobs at risk. But blockchain offers a way out: transparent, verifiable data trails and smart contracts that enforce equal pay (Cointelegraph). Onchain credentials can give women full ownership of their achievements, while watermarking training data can expose systemic erasure. If AI is design, not destiny, blockchain ensures women aren’t excluded from the future they’re helping to build.
🆘 Bolivian crypto surge: 530% spike as currency collapses, inflation soars
As Bolivia grapples with 40-year high inflation, fuel shortages, and a collapsing boliviano, citizens are increasingly turning to crypto as a financial lifeline. Transactions surged over 530% in a year, with stablecoins like Tether and platforms like Binance offering alternatives amid dollar shortages. Once banned, crypto is now reshaping how Bolivians save, spend, and survive (Reuters).
