Web3 is still in its nascent stages, and there's significant curiosity about its tangible impact. Atlantis DAO ran a pilot in rural India to explore how blockchain technology can enhance access to clean water resources for underserved communities and you can read the whole report here (We learnt a lot from it!). 🔍TLDR: Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)

Imagine you have a gigantic, super secure, and tamper-proof vending machine called the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This vending machine can not only dispense candy but also perform complex tasks based on specific instructions you give it.
In this analogy, the EVM is like a global computer that runs programs called smart contracts. These smart contracts are like detailed recipes or instructions that anyone can upload to the vending machine. Once a contract is uploaded, the EVM ensures it runs exactly as intended without anyone being able to alter it.
Think of each transaction as a request to the vending machine, where you pay a small fee (gas) to get your task done. The EVM processes these tasks with precision and security, making sure everything happens as per the rules defined in the smart contracts, just like a vending machine dispensing the exact item you paid for.

The EVM is the brain of the Ethereum blockchain. It's like a global computer that runs special programs called smart contracts. These smart contracts are like self-executing agreements written in code, automatically performing actions when certain conditions are met. So, when you send or receive money on Ethereum, the EVM processes these transactions and makes sure everything happens securely and consistently.
Now, what's cool about EVM compatibility? It means that other blockchains can run the same smart contracts and programs that work on Ethereum. This is a big deal because it allows developers to create applications that function across multiple blockchains without needing to start from scratch for each one.
TLDR: Imagine writing a piece of code that can work on various platforms seamlessly—that's the magic of EVM compatibility. It boosts interoperability, making apps more versatile and helping them reach a wider audience.
